Before going to Japan, Cong Vinh had only one free day after returning from Germany.

His flight from Tan Son Nhat airport in HCM City to Narita airport, Japan took off at 11.40pm on August 4 and landed at 7am (local time) on August 5. After that, he waited for more than three hours at Narita airport for another flight to the island of Hokkaido. He arrived at Sapporo in the afternoon of August 5.

Cong Vinh was accompanied by a Japanese PR officer, who will help him in the early days in Japan.

It is expected that Cong Vinh will have one free day before attending a press conference on August 6. He will join training with the team on the morning of August 7 in preparation for his debut with Sapporo fans on August 11.
