VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s striker Le Cong Vinh has been listed among 20 nominees for the best player title in Southeast Asian in 2013, according to prestigious sports online newspaper Goal.

Other nominees include Kyi Lin (Myanmar), Teerasil Dangda (Thailand), Baihakki Khaizan (Singapore), Khairul Fahmi (Malaysia), Boas Salossa (Indonesia) and Visay Phaphouvanin (Laos).

Singapore and Malaysia have four players nominated each, Thailand (3), the Philippines (3) and Indonesia (2), and Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia (1), respectively.

Recently, Argentina’s striker Leonel Messi has received the Goal 50 award for the top player of 2012-2013, voted by readers of online newspaper Goal.

This is the third time the player of Barcelona club has been honored at the annual awards ceremony since 2008.
