VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam-China relations are of great significance to the process of national construction in each country and to the sake of peace and stability in the region and the world.

Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Huy Rua is on an official visit to China from February 14-20 at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

At talks with Mr Rua and his delegation in Beijing on February 16, Li Changchun, permanent Politburo member of the CPC Central Committee, described the CPV delegation’s visit as a vivid manifestation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China.

Mr Changchun briefed Mr Rua on China’s socio-economic situation in 2011, development targets and tasks set for 2012, and preparations for the 18th National Congress of the CPC.

The Party, government and people of China always attach great importance to developing the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership. China is ready to work with Vietnam on realizing all common perceptions reached by the two countries’ senior leaders with the aim of tightening the ties of friendship and cooperation for mutual benefits, said Mr Changchun.

He also conveyed best regards from Party General Secretary and State President Hu Jintao to Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and other Vietnamese Party and State leaders.

For his part, Mr Rua praised the significant achievements China has recorded in the process of reform and socialist construction and informed the host of Vietnam’s socio-economic status in 2011.

The traditional Vietnam-China friendship established by late President Ho Chi Minh and late Chinese Chairman Mao Zedong, and fostered by generations of predecessors is a valuable asset that needs to be preserved and developed for future generations.

The Party, State and people of Vietnam wish to coordinate with China in realizing all common perceptions reached by leaders of the two countries during Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China last October.

Vietnam is keen to promote exchanges and co-operation in all fields with China, deal with the pending issues related to bilateral ties and boost the ties of neighbourliness, and comprehensive cooperation for mutual benefit, peace, sustainability and development in the region and the world, Mr Rua said.

Earlier, on February 15, Mr Rua and his delegation held talks with Li Yuanchao, Politburo member and Head of the CPC's Organisation Department. The two sides exchanged experiences in personnel work of the two Parties, especially in cadre training and planning. They agreed to boost exchanges and cooperation between the two organization commissions, and share experiences in human resource training to further strengthen the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

During his Beijing trip, Mr Rua and his entourage also met with Wang Jiarui, head of the CPC Central Committee's International Department, and visited the CPC's Central Party School and Chongqing province.
