The four parking lots will cover a total area of 1,500 square metres, located before Le Van Tam Park in District 1, on part of Le Lai Street in District 1, inside Cho Lon Bus Station in District 5 and on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street in District 5.

A multi-story parking lot in HCM City

They can accommodate 350 cars of less than 9 seats, using semi-automatic technologies. The lot inside Cho Lon Bus Station can accommodate roughly 200 motorbikes as well.

The semi-automatic technology has low initial investment costs, uncomplicated management, short installation time, quick return on investment and low maintenance fees compared to the fully automatic system.

HCM City is currently home to two multi-story parking lots in District 1, one in Tan Phu District and the other at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The one at the airport is the biggest with the capacity of 3,000 motorbikes and 1,700 cars.

Around 13 years ago, HCM City considered the planning of four underground parking lots in District 1. But these have remained on paper.
