The Prime Minister has approved the general construction project of Ban Gioc waterfall tourism site and detailed plan for the site's central area.

Accordingly, Ban Gioc waterfall tourism site covering 1,000 hectares and the site's central area will be located on an area of 156,7 hectares.

The tourism site is expected to welcome about 750,000 tourists per year, provide 1,010 rooms by 2020; and around 1.2 million visitors and offer 1,750 rooms by 2030.

According to the zoning plan, the tourist area would be developed into a major area for scenic attractions, ecological forestry and agricultural sectors.

Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Quy Xuan River is located in Cao Bang Province, nearing the Chinese-Vietnamese border. 

The waterfall is more than 200 meters high and 60 meters wide, falls thirty meters. It is separated into three falls by rocks and trees. 

On the way from the national road to the falls, visitors will cross corn fields of Dao, Thai ethnic minorities who are very hospitable.  

Sai Gon Ban Gioc Resort operated by Saigontourist is the first 4-star resort in Cao Bang.
