The coordination regulation to ensure technology for the Coast Guard will help the Coast Guard fulfill the task of protecting sovereignty over the sea and islands in all situations.

The regulation includes 3 chapters and 16 articles, built on the basis of the current regulations of the State and the Ministry of Defense on the production, repair, and technical ensurance for weapons and technical equipment of the military, the Chief of Staff's strategic orders to protect the sea and islands, and the technical assurance coordination plans for forces participating in the operation.

The content of coordination in the regulations includes the following fields: regular repair and technical ensurance; unexpected repair and technical ensurance; mobile repair and technical ensurance; technical ensurance in combat mission to protect sovereignty of sea and islands; production order, supply of materials and technical equipment; building new ships, boats and receiving ships, boats and support vehicles for the Coast Guard.

Highly appreciating the development of coordination regulations between the General Department of Defense Industry and the High Command of the Coast Guard, Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong requested that, in the coming time, the two sides need to continue to coordinate and support each other in building technical ensurance plans suitable for regular, mobile, and unexpected repair situations and perform combat tasks to protect sovereignty of sea and islands. The General Department of Defense Industry needs to actively direct research facilities and factories to continue designing, constructing and improving the capacity of building new ships, boats, vehicles, weapon and technical equipment for the Coast Guard to ensure quality and meet requirements. The High Command of the Coast Guard needs to focus on improving the quality of training to master and well perform the maintenance of combat equipment and means, especially for vehicles, weapon and technical equipment of the new generation.
