Speaking at the finale of the anti-corruption initiative 2011 program in Hanoi on August 16, vice chief inspector of the Government Inspectorate, Tran Duc Luong said that corruption in some fields has been restrained but corruption is still a big problem and a great concern of society and one of threats to the regime’s existence.
Luong said that the success of anti-corruption needs the efforts of state agencies and the active participation and support of the entire society.
He said that the Vietnam anti-corruption initiative 2011 is a program to raise people’s awareness of the law on anti-corruption, anti-corruption in community and bring into play the responsibility of people in anti-corruption task.
Of 160 submissions, 60 anti-corruption initiatives enter the finale. The winners will be announced today, August 17.
