The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) cast a vote of confidence on members of its Politburo and Secretariat on January 10 during its ongoing 10th meeting.
During the sixth working day of the meeting, which was presided over by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, CPVCC members also debated a list of candidates to be added to the Politburo and Secretariat personnel plans.
Later the same day, the committee discussed in group a project on streamlining and restructuring the contingent of public servants.
Party Central Committee continues session
The Party Central Committee convened a plenary session in Hanoi on January 11 during its ongoing 10 th meeting under the chair of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
During the seventh working day, the committee heard a report on the results of a vote of confidence casted on members of the Politburo and the Secretariat (11 th tenure).
Politburo member To Huy Rua, who is also Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, delivered a report of the Politburo on electing additional members to the Central Committee’s Inspection Commission (11 th tenure).
Politburo member Ngo Van Du, who is also Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, reported on the Politburo’s considerations for the settlement of complaints related to disciplines within the Party.
Participants elected eight additional officials to the Inspection Commission (11 th tenure) and voted to keep forms of Party disciplines, as suggested by the Politburo, intact.
In the afternoon, they discussed in groups a scheme on nation-wide planning for media development and management until 2025.
The Committee convened its 10th meeting in Hanoi on January 5 and plans to wrap up the meeting on January 12.
