VietNamNet Bridge – Cracks for dozens of meters long, 1-2cm wide are appearing at the tunnel of Hanoi’s Thang Long, Vietnam’s longest avenue. The contractor – Vinaconex – said that it is checking the cracks.

 

Dust and rubbish flood Vietnam’s most modern avenue

 

Thang Long Avenue is 140m wide, with six lanes, running from Pham Hung-Khuat Duy Tien crossroad through Tu Liem, Hoai Duc, Quoc Oai and Thach That district to National Highway 1A. This road was inaugurated on September 30 2010 to celebrate Hanoi’s 1000th birthday. The total capital for this work is up to VND7.527 trillion.
