Craig Thomas Gallery in HCMC’s District 1 will hold the exhibition “Ninth Anniversary Show” from June 29 to July 20, 2018.

Each year in June, Craig Thomas Gallery takes the opportunity to mark another year of its development and put on an eclectic exhibition that showcases new works by many artists who will be having solo exhibitions at the gallery in the ensuing 12 months.

This year’s anniversary show will be particularly special as it will feature two exciting young artists who are new to the gallery and who will be joining the upcoming group exhibition of 16 Vietnamese artists in New York City in September.

Among the artists whose works will be on display at the gallery during the show as sneak peek of their upcoming solos are long-time favorites like Luong Luu Bien, Pham Huy Thong, Lieu Nguyen and Nguyen Minh Nam.

In addition, Hue-based artist Truong The Linh, who will be having his first curated gallery show at the gallery in December, will show one of the works of the collection that he has spent the past year creating.

As always, there will be a couple of surprises at the show including the latest master work from the acclaimed Saigon-based artist Lim Khim Ka Ty, who has spent months perfecting her works.

The exhibition will also feature works by the highly regarded, Hanoi-based artist Nguyen Trong Minh. Minh is making a new work exclusively for the anniversary show and this will be the first time his work has been on public display in HCMC. The addition of Minh to the Craig Thomas Gallery’s roster of artists is a continuation of the gallery’s efforts to represent a full range of artists from Vietnam’s three primary art centers of Hanoi, Hue and HCMC.
