Nguyen Van Dung from Quang Ngai was immediately transferred to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

On Tuesday afternoon, a Ba Ria-Vung Tau-based fishing boat numbered BV 70576 TS found the crew member alive 25 nautical miles from the point where the ship sank. Unfortunately, the fishing boat was unable to inform the committee right away for further search and rescue.

On the same day, rescue ship SAR 272 delivered the bodies of captain Ngo Thien and his brother Ngo Tan Tien to to the coast of Vung Tau.

Rescue ship SAR 243 is, meanwhile, continuing its search for three crew members -- Nguyen Tan Phuong, Nguyen Van Lan and Van Nam, according to the Nguoi Lao Dong (Labourer) newspaper.

A Binh Dinh-based squid-catching ship with six crew members on board sank in the Vung Tau sea on Monday night. Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province’s Centre for Marine Search and Rescue has mobilised its rescue ships to search for the victims.
