A show featuring snakes and crocodiles is being presented for the first time in south-central Khanh Hoa province, adding a new and unique tourism product as it hosts National Tourism Year 2019.

Crocodile and snake show opens in Nha Trang

The Nha Trang Crocodile And Snake Show is held at a breeding farm in Phuoc Dien hamlet in Nha Trang’s Phuoc Dong commune.

Performances with crocodiles will astonish those in the audience, especially little ones, as professional trainers play with the reptiles as though they’re friends and get them to open their jaws to say “Hi” before putting their heads inside.

The snake acts also receive a lot of applause, with many visitors posing for photos with the tamed animals. They also learn how these dangerous animals are trained.

Crocodile shows are quite popular in neighboring countries such as Thailand and can now be added to tours in Vietnam.

Khanh Hoa is host of National Tourism Year 2019, which is organized annually for Vietnam’s tourism sector to introduce the potential of different provinces, thus contributing to developing sustainable tourism around the country. With the theme “Nha Trang - Color of the Sea”, National Tourism Year 2019 will feature hundreds of cultural, sports, and tourism events, such as a sea festival, a film week, a seafood festival, a golf tournament, a yacht race, and a jet ski race.

The province has 180 km of coastline with beautiful landscapes including Van Phong, Nha Trang, Cam Ranh Bay and many islands. It is known for beautiful beaches with fine clean sand and water, mild temperatures, and excellent scuba diving, and is a popular destination for local and international tourists, including affluent travelers.

Nha Trang Bay is widely considered among the world’s most beautiful, and the city hosted the Miss Universe 2008 and Miss World 2010 pageants.

Khanh Hoa welcomed some 6.3 million tourists in 2018, including 2.8 million foreigners, a year-on-year increase of 15 per cent and 36 per cent, respectively.
