Flood tides have damaged hundreds of metres of Cua Dai Beach.

Nguyen Van Hung, a local resident, said that recently, waves which were up to more than one metre high attacked the beach. As a result, the walls of restaurants by the beach have been affected.

Nguyen The Hung, vice chairman of Hoi An City People’s Committee, said the local authorities will consider solutions to deal with the problem.

Hung added that VND78 billion (USD3,391), excluding the money already spent by nearby hotels, have been used to protect Cua Dai Beach.
