VietNamNet Bridge - A 26-year-old Czech girl, Alena Novotna, is in search of her Vietnamese father, Nguyen Trong Vinh, who had been working in the Czech Republic under a labour export contract.

When she was two months old, Alena’s father had to return to Vietnam. Since then, she has no information from him.

In September 2002, her Czech mother Hana Novotna passed away. The orphaned girl was then raised by her relatives.

Alena is now living and working in the UK. She said that it was never too late to meet her dad.

“I am longing to see my father in Vietnam or even in other countries or continents," she said.
