According to Dang Quang Tu, chairman of the Da Lat People’s Committee, the city has selected the investors to carry out an anti-flooding project downstream of Cam Ly Stream in Ward 5 and another project to upgrade the embankment near Dang Thai Than Apartments in Ward 3. 

The two projects must be urgently implemented to ensure the safety of local residents.

The local authorities need to be updated on the project’s progress every two days so any difficulties can be immediately resolved.

The embankment near the Dang Thai Than development is currently tilting, posing dangers for people. The total cost for the embankment renovation would be VND4.5 billion (USD191,489).

Meanwhile, the Cam Ly Stream anti-flooding project is expected to cost VND2 billion.

An embankment on Hoang Hoa Tham Street in Da collapsed in June, killing three people. The incident happened following heavy rains in the area.
