The murder occurred on the morning of December 19 at the Thao Nails Beauty Salon on Bui Xuan Phai Road, Hai Chau district, Da Nang City. The victim is Ms. Tran Thi T.T, 24, a major worker.
According to witnesses, a young man named V - a classmate of T came to the salon, asking to see T. T was informed by the salon’s owner but she refused to meet.
When the salon’s owner walked out of the salon with her baby, the man burst into the salon, with a knife in his hand. Seeing V with the knife, T ran to a corner, sat down and held her head in her hands. V approached and stabbed her. The woman fell down in a pool of blood.
Then, V poured gasoline from a 1.5l plastic bottle onto the woman’s body and burned her. The fire was fierce, embracing the whole room, burning both the woman and the man.
People broke in to extinguish the fire and brought both to the hospital.
The fire-fighting police also sent 14 soldiers and two fire-trucks to the scene but the fire was extinguished by the people.
According to the Da Nang General Hospital yesterday, the woman was in critical condition, with 85 percent of her body burned and several wounds on her body. Meanwhile, V was slightly wounded in the leg.
Reportedly, V unilaterally loved T.
This is the 2nd homicide this year in Da Nang originating from unilateral love.
