Her series of four posters featuring characters from an ancient tuong (classcial drama) play made of Truc Chi (Vietnamese artistic handmade paper).

The poster series, which is an upgrade from Ngoc’s graduation thesis from Da Nang Architecture University, last year also brought her a prize from the 2017 American Graphic Design Awards.

In 2011, based on the traditional process of making paper, painter Phan Hai Bang created a new type of art, do hoa Truc Chi (trucchigraphy), in which artists use bamboo pulp to create paintings and other artworks.

The Truc Chi art has become a material for many artistic and daily-use products, such as lanterns, wallets, candle boxes, handbags, wall paintings and table calendars.
