Central Da Nang City will be host to a vast array of activities this summer as it makes efforts to attract more visitors.

May will start with the Ironman 70.3 triathlon, drawing the participation of more than 1,400 athletes from 59 countries around the world. 

A program titled “Da Nang – summer rendezvous 2018” is scheduled to take place in late June, featuring many special activities which promise new and interesting experiences for visitors.

In addition, the International Theatre Institute (ITI) have chosen Da Nang as the perfect location to host the first-ever World Performing Arts Festival. 

Around 20 art troupes from ITI member countries, including Vietnam, will take part in the festival from July 1-8.

Tran Chi Cuong, vice director of the Da Nang municipal Department of Tourism, says the city has implemented measures to ensure the safety of visitors and local people when attending this summer’s big events. 

Coastal rescue forces are being trained and will be on duty to ensure the safety of all participants engaging in entertainment activities, while environment, food hygiene, and safety and social orders are to be beefed up at all entertainment sites, says Mr Cuong.
