Entitled Vietnamese Ao dai – The Everlasting Beauty, the week-long event displays Ao dai collections of two famous Vietnamese designers, Adrian Anh Tuan and Thuy Nguyen.

Using silk, satin, chiffon and brocade, each Ao dai creation in the collection Secret Garden of the HCM City-based designer Tuan has been compared by the designer to “a splendid spring garden”.

“Each of my Ao dai presents not only the femininity of mature women, but also their charm and elegance,” said the designer and founder of the fashion brand Valenciani.

Designer Thuy Nguyen, who designed all Ao dai creations in the recent movie Co Ba Sai Gon – a movie honouring the timeless beauty of Ao dai, introduced her collection My Vietnam.

The founder of the fashion brand Thuy Design House was inspired by the famous landscapes and traditional cultural values of the country’s three regions, with each of her dresses depicting the beauty of nature or festivities.

Aiming to introduce to international guests a special feature of Vietnamese culture, the event will end with an Ao dai fashion show on February 28 at the Indochina-styled La Maison 1888 Restaurant.

The 6-star InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula, which hosted the 2017 APEC Summit, is the only resort in the world to win the award for “The World’s Most Luxurious Resort” of the World Travel Awards for four consecutive years. -VNA
