VietNamNet Bridge - Da Nang City’s traffic police officers will no longer be paid an additional of VND1.5 to VND5 million per month as they enjoyed under the age of Party Secretary Nguyen Ba Thanh.

The monthly amount of VND1.5 to VND5 million ($75-$250) depending on rank is the non-salary pay for traffic police officers in Da Nang when Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh was the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Council of Da Nang.

This policy was implemented from August 2012, under a decision of the Da Nang People’s Committee.

After nearly one year of implementation, this policy has been stopped after a decision was signed by Da Nang People's Committee vice chairman Vo Duy Khuong last week.

Khuong said the decision was made on the proposal of the Da Nang Department of Finance in May 2013.

"The expenses for integrity maintenance are not related to the city budget. It is stopped for checking whether it is appropriate to the provisions of the State or not" - he Jiang said.
