One of the country’s largest festivals, the Quan The Am (Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva) festival in Da Nang city, will be held on March 25-27 at the Quan The Am Pagoda in Hoa Vang district.
The festival includes religious ceremonies and festival activities, including a prayer ceremony, a candle-lit flower release, a Zen-tea exhibition, photo and painting exhibitions, calligraphy performances and boat races.
The Buddhist festival is held on lunar February 17-19, honouring Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva while praying for peace and prosperity.

The pagoda, built in 1957, is located at the foot of the Kim Son (Metal Mountain) in the Ngu Hanh Son (Five Element Mountains) area.
Ngu Hanh Son area is about 8km away from the city’s centre and is a wonderful natural landscape with several ancient pagodas, mysterious caves and picturesque scenery.
