Bí thư Đà Nẵng: Bốn ngày nữa dịch không giảm sẽ áp dụng 'ai ở đâu phải ở đó'
Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang.

The central city is now under social distancing according to the government’s Directive 16.

According to Quang, from July 10 to August 11, Da Nang recorded 1,473 Covid-19 cases, with 13 Covid-19 related deaths. “Therefore, it is necessary to identify epidemic prevention as the top priority, particularly protecting the people. We are determined to push back the epidemic as soon as possible to bring the city back to the new normal state," he said.

The Da Nang Party Secretary said that on August 11 evening, the local Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control met and decided that within four days, if the number of new infection cases does not reduce, the city will apply the principle of "stay where you are".

According to the official, under this principle, people do not leave their homes. If factories want to operate, they must ensure that their employees and workers stay at the workplace for 7 days, so that the city can perform mass testing to quickly remove F0 cases from the community.

“This is a measure that the city does not want to apply and hopes not to apply, but to prevent the spread of the disease we must accept to sacrifice many benefits to implement it. When it is applied, there will be many difficulties, especially in food supply for people. The city has a plan for this task,” said Quang.
