Among them will be nine cruise liners, including Westerdam, AlDabella, Zhao Shang Yi Dun, and Seabourn Encore, which will bring 9,800 tourists from Europe, the United States, and China to Da Nang.
In particular, Chinese cruise ship Zhao Shang Yi Dun is due to arrive at Tien Sa port on February 7, or the 28th day of the 12th lunar month, and February 14, or the fifth day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon.
Over the festival period, Chinese tourists will have the chance to visit famous tourist destinations around Da Nang such as Ngu Hanh Son (Five Marble) Mountain, Linh Ung pagoda, and Cham sculpture museum.
Furthermore, Tien Sa port will receive the cruise liner Silver Spirit, carrying 500 travelers from the US, the UK, and France during the Lunar New Year festival, the biggest holiday in Vietnam.
February will also see the arrival of three more ships - Zhao Shang Yi Dun, Resorts World One, and Seabourn Encore - with over 4,200 tourists.
Da Nang is scheduled to welcome 13 more cruise ships throughout March and April, bringing with them a total of 17,500 foreign travelers.
In 2023 the central coastal city received 22 international cruise liners with 18,000 arrivals on board. The figure will rise to 45 ships and 40,000 foreigners in 2024, doubling compared to last year.
