The sound tourism environment, high-quality services and excellent promotion campaigns have helped the central coastal city of Da Nang lure an increasing number of tourists.

The city has welcomed over 5 million travellers since the outset of 2017, a year-on-year surge of 22.7 percent.

Nearly 1.8 million foreigners visited the city in the period, up 49 percent from the same time last year.

The department has increased promotion campaigns in key markets like Japan, the Republic of Korea, China and Southeast Asia as well as potential ones including France, Germany, the UK and India.

Currently, 29 direct flights to Da Nang have been operated.

The city has asked tourism businesses to stablise service prices during the APEC Economic Leaders Week.
