Amid circulating rumors of its closure, representatives of Dai Nam Tourist Area in Binh Duong have denied the claims and provided clarification about a temporary suspension of operations for maintenance.
On January 8, representatives of Dai Nam Tourist Area, located in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province, addressed the misinformation spreading on social media.
According to an official announcement on the park’s fan page, the facility undergoes routine maintenance every year before the Lunar New Year to prepare for visitors.
The statement clarified that Dai Nam will temporarily suspend operations for maintenance from January 22 to January 28, 2025 (December 23-29 of the lunar calendar).
Operations will resume on January 29, coinciding with the first day of the Lunar New Year.
The park's management emphasized that misinformation about its permanent closure has caused significant disruption. They have requested that media outlets publishing incorrect information retract and correct their reports. Additionally, the management plans to seek legal action against those spreading false information.
Dai Nam Tourist Area has garnered attention in recent years for initiatives linked to Nguyen Phuong Hang, its CEO, who recently completed a prison sentence.
In September 2024, Nguyen Phuong Hang announced free entry to the park on Sundays from September 29 to October 20, resulting in a surge of visitors. Local authorities had to deploy personnel to manage traffic flow and prevent congestion.
