VietNamNet Bridge – On January 1, Dak Lak province authorities held the memorial and burial ceremony for the remains of 31 martyrs who sacrificed in the resistance war against America at the local cemetery for martyrs.

Of the 31 martyrs' remains, 23 are anonymous and 8 have names and ages. Of the later, two sets of remains were found with names, ages and hometowns and they were taken home for burial.

These martyrs are determined to have sacrificed from 1968 to 1972, while performing the duty of blocking the enemy on the National Highway 14 (in Ea H'leo commune, Ea H'leo district, Dak Lak province).

Earlier, based on information from teammates and witnesses, the family of Mr. Duong Quyet Thang (CEO of the Vietnam Social Policy Bank) went to Dak Lak to search for the remains of his father, a martyr.

Through excavation, 31 martyr's remains were found along Highway 14.
