Dam Vinh Hung will represent Vietnam to vie for the "Best Southeast Asia Act" at the MTV European Music Awards 2017 (MTV EMA), scheduled to take place early November in London.

Launched in Vietnam in August, MTV Vietnam put forth a nomination list of nine singers, Dam Vinh Hung, Le Quyen, Tuan Hung, Duong Trieu Vu, Trinh Thang Binh, Vu Cat Tuong, Isaac, Huong Tram and Trong Hieu.

Hung topped the selection with 3.9 million votes, trailed by Vu Cat Tuong with 3.1 million votes and Trong Hieu with 282,000 votes.  

He will compete with other singers from Asian countries to gain a ticket to take part in the MTV EMA 2017 in London.

MTV EMA is one of four awards of MTV held alternately in European countries every year. 

It has been considered a major music prize in the world, which is presented to the artists who have dedicated themselves to the world of music production.
