VietNamNet Bridge – The authorities of Da Nang city have discovered 111 officials and state employees who were allocated with apartments for use but they sold or rent for profit.




Director of the Danang Condominium Management Company, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, said that inspection of nine condominiums with 673 apartments, which are allocated for Danang’s officials, civil servants, the company has found 111 cases of violation. These officials and government employees were allocated with apartments for use but they sold or leased their apartments.

"We have reported these cases to the Danang People's Committee to handle. For those who do not need to use apartments, their apartments will be revoked. Some public servants sold or leased their apartments to their friends or relatives, who are also state employees. We are considering to officially transferring the apartments to these people, who are in real need of housing," Thuan said.

He said in December, the company will continue to check the apartments that have been allocated for other subjects. If violations are detected, apartments will be withdrawn to transfer to others who have the real demands for housing.

Da Nang authorities have granted nearly 8,000 apartments for people with urgent needs for housing, such as officials, civil servants and people whose land was revoked and poor households.
