Danang City's tourism insiders have proposed the municipal authorities to facilitate the development of a signature tourism product to attract more tourists to the city.

“Danang City has seen no signature tourism product to date,” vice chairman of the Danang Hotel Association Nguyen Duc Quynh said, proposing that the city should focus on developing the water tourism sector and turn sea-based services into a signature product to attract tourists.
Quynh said that although the city has developed a series of sea-based products and services, such as entertainment areas, bars, restaurants and water sports, they have failed to make the city stand apart from other coastal provinces. It is necessary to take these services to the highest level, Quynh added.
Meanwhile, Dinh Van Loc, director of Vietda Travel Company, proposed that night yacht tours could be one of the city’s signature tourism products.
Endowed with rivers, beaches and mountain ranges, the city should further develop a close chain tour which takes visitors to Ba Na Hills, Son Tra Peninsula, Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains) and Cham Museum, and to eateries serving seafood and specialties, Loc said.
“Having traveled to many coastal tourist destinations, in my opinion, Danang Beach is the most beautiful,” said Nguyen Thi Phuong Nhi, a representative of Danang Entrepreneurship Support, also known as Danang Incubator, adding that a sea-based product will be the most appropriate signature tourism product for the city.
Speaking at the latest meeting, in which the Danang Department of Tourism unveiled a plan to develop the tourism sector until 2025, with a vision toward 2030, Huynh Tan Vinh, chairman of the Danang Tourism Association, confirmed that the increasing tourist arrivals in the city were due to the attractiveness of the beach and the natural landscape.
Vice chairman of Danang City Le Trung Chinh asked the Department of Tourism to adjust and complete the plan and submit it to the municipal Government at the end of March.
Danang City aims to welcome 8.85 million holidaymakers in 2020, including 2.45 million international tourists. The figures will target 14 million visitors and four million foreign tourists in 2025. In 2030, the city is expecting some 20.9 million tourists, including 5.9 million international tourist arrivals.
