As the country’s third largest city, Danang has garnered widespread recognition from international visitors thanks to spectacular urban landscape without much air and noise pollution, healthy business environment, enormous tourism potential, and notably, a convenient geographical location close to world-recognized heritage sites.

The city has several times earned plaudits from respected foreign travel sites and global prestigious magazines. In particular, Smart Travel Asia, an online magazine, in 2016 voted Danang on the top 10 holiday destinations list. Meanwhile, Danang was hailed as one of the world’s 20 cleanest cities at the 44th Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2012.

All aforesaid factors have contributed to make the city worthy to be on the list of the world’s 10 places worth living on earth.

The total number of visitors to Danang City last year was estimated at 6.6 million, jumping 19% year-on-year, with international tourist arrivals accounting for 2.3 million. The city is pinning high hopes of wooing 7.47 million tourist arrivals this year, including three million foreigners.

The city is also being busy to prep up for the Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) scheduled to last around two months starting from April 29.

The festival, titled “The Legends of Bridges,” is expected to wow spectators by the stories about the well-known bridges depicted by fireworks from the teams of Poland, France, the United States, Italy, Hong Kong, Sweden, and Portugal beside host Vietnam.
