On October 21, Vietlott (Vietnam’s computerized lottery company) awarded the Jackpot 1 prize of the Power 6/55 game to a local teacher from Danang. The winning ticket matched the numbers 17 - 23 - 34 - 39 - 46 - 52, earning a total prize of VND 179,058,846,000  -  approximately USD 7.34 million.

The ticket was purchased at a Vietlott outlet in An Hai Ward, Danang. The winner, Mr. N.V.H, has been identified as a local educator who has previously won smaller Vietlott prizes. Upon receiving the award, he shared that he already had a plan for managing the money wisely.

Under Vietnamese tax law, lottery winners are subject to a 10% personal income tax on prize money exceeding VND 10 million. In Mr. H’s case, this amounted to nearly VND 17.9 billion (around USD 733,000), deducted directly before the payout. Thus, his final take-home amount was VND 161 billion, or roughly USD 6.6 million.

In a philanthropic gesture, Mr. H donated VND 2.5 billion (approximately USD 102,500) to the Tam Tai Viet Fund, supporting social welfare programs.

This was the result of drawing #1,249 of the Power 6/55 lottery, held on the night of September 30, 2025.
