VietNamNet Bridge – Singer-actress Yen Trang and her partner Tisho won the trophy of the Dancing with the Stars Vietnam 2013 in the final round on May 25.
Trang/Tisho stood out as the leaders in the contest, outperforming two other duos to take the Gold Cup, VND150 million in cash and many other bonuses.
In the first part, the three duos performed a dance selected by the jury, and Trang/Tisho enthralled the audience with a Waltz on the soundtrack of the song “Paying gratitude to Miss Vo Thi Sau”, scoring a total of 38 points.
Contestants were allowed to choose their favourite genre in the second part. Actress Lan Phuong/Valeri impressed the jury with a contemporary dance in which she told a story of a love affair of human being, from birth to death. Their performance received a total of 40 points from the four jurors in the hot seat.
Trang/Tisho got 39 points for their Rumba dance in their free style part, but one point ahead of duo Lan Phuong/Valeri in the aggregate. In addition, they got the most SMS votes from viewers, clinching the Gold Cup.
Singer Ngo Kien Huy/Victoria came in second, receiving a VND120 million prize.
Lan Phuong/Valeri won third prize worth VND100 million.
This was the fourth iteration of Dancing with the Stars in Vietnam.
This year’s jury comprised director Le Hoang, Dance sport master Khanh Thi, choreographer Tran Ly Ly, and singer Doan Trang.
The Gold Cup went to actress Ngo Thanh Van, female singer Thu Minh and actress Minh Hang when the contest was held in 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively.
