VietNamNet Bridge – The organizing committee of the Vietnamese version of Dancing with the Stars, Buoc nhay hoan vu, has announced that ten couples will join the fifth season which will be aired every Saturday on VTV3 starting from January 4 with a new format.

Dancing with the Stars returns on January 4.

Contestants are singers Tim, Tra My, Thu Thuy, and Thao Trang, actress/singer Ngan Khanh, model Huu Long, actress Diem My, MC Oc Thanh Van, footballer Phan Thanh Binh and comedian Hoang Map. Not to mention the foreign dancers.

Battle and dance-duel will be introduced for the first time. Couples have to compete directly in each challenge and the results will be based on the votes of audiences and the judging panel. Previously the couples with the lowest votes were eliminated.

This year, two couples with the lowest grades have to perform a dance-duel.

The winner of Dancing with the Stars 2013, singer Yen Trang, will MC the contest. Judges will be dance-sport veteran Khanh Thi and choreographer Tran Ly Ly with the final judge still to be announced.

The program is organized by VTV3 and city-based Cat Tien Sa Company.
