VietNamNet Bridge – At Da Hoi village in Tu Son district of Bac Ninh province, nests of overhead electric wires have become threats for residents of the biggest steel producing village in northern Vietnam.

Da Hoi village is a traditional blacksmith village, with a history of several centuries. The village supplies thousands of tons of steel to the market. Villagers are getting rich from this job.

However, the cost of that prosperity is environmental pollution. With over 1,000 families producing steel, the village consumes a huge volume of electricity. The network of electric wires in the village has become danger for local people.
