During his stay in Denmark, the Vietnamese leader is expected to meet King Frederik X, hold talks with the Danish Prime Minister, meet the Speaker of Parliament and participate in other important diplomatic activities.

According to the Danish Royal House, the state visit will provide an opportunity for the two countries to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including green solutions, healthcare and food, while strengthening multilateral cooperation.

Over more than five decades, Vietnam-Denmark relations have developed through several cooperation frameworks, from strategic partnerships in climate change, energy, environmental protection and green growth to a Comprehensive Partnership and a Green Strategic Partnership.

These frameworks have established a solid foundation for cooperation across a wide range of sectors.

Building on 55 years of friendship, political trust and productive cooperation, To Lam's visit offers both countries an opportunity to identify new strategic directions and elevate bilateral relations in their next stage of development.

Vietnam hopes to further strengthen cooperation with Denmark, making the relationship a model of successful engagement between Vietnam and a Nordic partner.

Denmark was among the first Western countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. It was also home to a strong public movement supporting Vietnam's struggle for national independence and reunification.

The two countries are celebrating the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year.

Over the decades, bilateral relations have evolved significantly, shifting from development assistance toward an increasingly equal and mutually beneficial partnership.

Today, Denmark is among the European Union's leading investors in Vietnam and stands out among Nordic partners for its high-quality investment and commitment to green development.

Projects undertaken by major Danish companies, particularly in seaports, maritime transport, logistics and green industries, demonstrate the tangible benefits and growing depth of cooperation between the two countries.
