According to initial reports, the flames erupted suddenly and spread rapidly throughout the building. A thick column of black smoke rose dozens of meters into the sky and could be seen from afar.

Upon receiving the fire alarm, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City quickly dispatched personnel and equipment to the scene.

Dozens of officers used specialized fire trucks with ladders to access the burning building. The rescue operation was given top priority.

Firefighters managed to control the blaze, rescue several people trapped inside, and transfer them to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Preliminary information from authorities confirmed that four people had died. The police are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the damage.

The victims were identified as Lương Quỳnh A. (female, born 1997), Dinh Thi Khanh H. (female, born 1985), Dinh Khanh L. (female, born 2018), and Hoang Nhat K. (male, born 2023).

Two others were injured after jumping from the upper floors and suffering smoke inhalation. They were identified as Tran Thi Thuy Linh (female, born 2004) and Tran Thi Ngoc Khue (female, born 2007).

According to Ho Chi Minh City’s 115 Emergency Center and Saigon General Hospital, medical teams quickly arrived at the site and admitted six victims.

Four of them were declared deceased upon arrival due to cardiac and respiratory arrest. Despite intensive resuscitation efforts, none of the four could be saved.

The victims included:

Luong Quynh A. (female, born 1997): suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest; did not respond to resuscitation.

Dinh Thi Khanh H. (female, born 1985): went into cardiac and respiratory arrest; did not survive after medical intervention.

Dinh Khanh L. (female, born 2018): was unresponsive upon arrival and could not be revived.

Hoang Nhat K. (male, born 2023): despite efforts from doctors at Children’s Hospital No. 2 and Gia Dinh People’s Hospital, could not be saved.

The two injured survivors, Tran Thi Thuy Linh and Tran Thi Ngoc Khue, were given first aid and transferred to Gia Dinh People’s Hospital for further specialized care.

Witnesses reported a harrowing scene as a man, believed to be the father of two of the victims, stood outside the burning restaurant, crying out in anguish and pleading for help to save his children trapped inside the inferno.

The investigation into the cause of the fire and the extent of damages is still ongoing.
