Doctors at Thanh Hoa General Hospital yesterday confirmed that another victim of the deadly truck-bus collision that occurred on Saturday has died, raising the death toll to 10.

The head-on collision between a truck and a minibus occurred on Saturday afternoon in Thanh Hoa Province's Xuan Quy Commune.  

 

 

The 10th victim was identified as 49-year-old Nguyen Van Khang, from Tan Ky District in Nghe An Province. He was admitted to the hospital with serious bone and brain injuries, and went into a deep coma before he died.

The condition of three of the injured is stable, according to the doctors here.

 
 

The police in Thanh Hoa yesterday decided to seek criminal prosecution with regard to the accident.

The head-on collision between a truck and a minibus occurred on Saturday afternoon in Thanh Hoa Province's Xuan Quy Commune.

A report by the Viet Nam Registration Agency said that the truck, labelled IFA, was manufactured in 1989 in Germany, and its registration had expired on January 1 this year.

Nine of the people who were killed in the car were relatives and family members on their way to a wedding.
