VietNamNet Bridge – Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, Chairman of the General Department of Politics, visited General Vo Nguyen Giap at the Hanoi-based Military Hospital 108 on July 19.

The visit was made on the occasion of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27).

Lieutenant General Lich showed his deep gratitude to General Vo Nguyen Giap’s great contribution to the nation, especially his credit in building the Vietnam People’s Army.

Lich confirmed that General Vo Nguyen Giap is an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh, the brother of the people’s armed forces, the one who is respected by the entire people and is admired by international friends, and the pride of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The Defense Ministry’s officials wished the legendary general good health and long-lived, to continue contribution to building the Party, the country and the army of Vietnam.

Lieutenant General Lich also reported to General Vo Nguyen Giap the situation of the army.

Before visiting General Vo Nguyen Giap, Lich listened to report on General Vo Nguyen Giap’s health by Dr. Tran Duy Anh, the hospital’s director.
