All applications for short-term Schengen visas to Denmark, Iceland and Lithuania as well as to Greenland and the Faroe Islands should be submitted at this centre.

People who want to apply for work and residence permits to Denmark should also submit their applications at the centre.

The opening of the centre will facilitate a smoother process for applicants as it offers longer opening hours and no appointment is needed.

Additional services such as online application tracking and courier delivery are also available.

“With the new Visa Application Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, we improve the consular service. Smooth and effective visa handling is key to strengthening the increased exchange - commercially, culturally and politically - between Vietnam and Denmark,” said Danish Ambassador to Vietnam John Nielsen.

The centre will be operated by the international company VFS Global.

Another visa application centre will open in Hanoi on November 1.
