VietNamNet Bridge - National Assembly (NA) deputy Dang Thanh Tam, who was allowed to be absent from the ongoing NA session for medical treatment, appeared at the NA hall this morning, October 29.

On the sidelines of the NA meeting, Tam told correspondents that though he was still tired, he would try to take part in the NA session. However, he did not say whether he would attend the entire season or not.
Before the opening of the fourth NA session, the NA Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City and the NA Committee for Deputy Affairs received Tam’s application for his absence from the 4th NA session, for health reasons.
The NA Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City sent a request to the NA.
On the morning of October 22, NA Chair Nguyen Sinh Hung received Tam’s application for his absence from the 4th NA session to go overseas for medical treatment but Tam did not specify in what country. The NA Chairman approved Tam’s petition.
Besides Tam, a female deputy of Son La province is also absent from the session for maternity leave.
Deputy Dang Thanh Tam is younger brother of deputy Dang Thi Hoang Yen, who was dismissed from the NA in the previous session.
Tam is a well-known businessman, who was ranked as one of the richest people in the Vietnamese stock market from 2007 to 2010.
