VietNamNet Bridge – On March 29, after more than two months the Hai Phong Party Committee announced its decision to expel him from the Party, Hai Phong Police Agency announced to dismiss Deputy Director, Colonel Nguyen Binh Kien.

Previously, from November 7, 2012, the Inspection Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee issued a decision to check for signs of violation against Colonel Nguyen Binh Kien.

The inspection results showed that: during his time as Deputy Director of the Financial, Monetary, Investment Security Department of the Ministry of Public Security, Mr. Kien seriously broke the provisions of the police sector; committing infringement of personal liberty of citizens, adversely affecting the reputation of the police sector; violating the status of party membership and the 19 bans on party members and police officers.

In the process of working with the inspection team, Mr. Kien did not seriously realize his mistakes and shortcomings.

The Inspection Commission of Hai Phong Party Committee said that Kien’s violation is very serious and must be seriously punished.

After listening to the inspection team’s report, on January 15, 2013, the Party Standing Committee of Hai Phong agreed to discipline Kien with the form of eliminating him from the Party.

Over two months later, the Hai Phong Police Agency has announced the decision of dismissing Kien from the post of Deputy Director and allowed Kien to retire from April 1, 2013.

Kien is brother-in-law of Duong Chi Dung, former director of the Vietnam Maritime Administration.
