VietNamNet Bridge - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a decision to not re-appoint Deputy Minister of Health, Cao Minh Quang, who was appointed to this position for a term of 5 years from 2007.

With this decision, Quang will not be reappointed as the Deputy Minister of Health after his current term finishes at the end of 2012.

Earlier, the Communist Party Committee of the Ministry of Health in late June met to consider the form of punishment on Deputy Minister of Health Cao Minh Quang. The majority of participants agreed to the proposal of not re-appoint Quang to the position after his term ends this year.

In May this year, the Ministry of Health also held a meeting to consider the form of penalty on Quang. Of the eight members of the meeting, five recommended to give him a warning.

In February 2012, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health conducted criticism on Quang. The criticism was held after the Central Inspection Committee determined that Quang was dishonest in related to his degree, borrowed money from businesses under his management, and made inaccurate and reckless statements about some incidents at the Ministry of Health.

In late 2011, the Central Inspection Commission gave a warning to Quang. According to the commission,
Quang violated the standards and regulations on party membership, affected the internal unity and his own personal prestige.
