According to the decision signed by the Prime Minister on September 14 and published on September 17, Hoang Quoc Vuong will dismiss the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade post to work at the EVN.

As Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Vuong directly guided the Electricity Regulatory Agency and joined the Minister to manage the EVN.

In February 2012, Dao Van Hung was dismissed from the post of EVN Chairman for weak management.

Hung, the former General Director of EVN, was appointed as EVN Chairman in October 2007. In February 2011, after EVN switched its model into EVN One Member Limited Liability Company, Hung was again approved by the Prime Minister as the Chairman.

During his time, EVN worked inefficiently operation. It invested thousands of trillion dong in non-core business fields, but it earned only a few hundred billion dong of profits.

After Dao Van Hung was dismissed, General Director Pham Le Thanh was appointed as interim chairman of EVN.
