Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc is leading a Vietnamese delegation to attend the three-day World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia that began in Jakarta, Indonesia yesterday.

Titled "Anchoring Trust in East Asia's New Regionalism," this year's event will focus on solutions to cope with social challenges, formation of the ASEAN Community and its impact on regional growth, and orientations to deal with global challenges using multilateral co-operation and public-private partnerships.

Phuc will join discussions on regional and international socio-economic issues including regional integration and connectivity, the role and impact of the ASEAN Economic Community and regional and international economic development trends.

 
 

Over 700 delegates from 40 countries and representatives from international organisations are attending the event alongside 180 CEOs and heads of major world conglomerates.
