VietNamNet Bridge – Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai joined soldiers and volunteers to plant mangrove forest in Ha Long city, of the northern port city of Quang Ninh on June 3.

Responding to the World Environmental Day 2012, Quang Ninh province and the project to

plant one million trees for Vietnam jointly held a program to grow mangrove forest, totaling 20,000 trees.

The selected site was Ha Phong ward in Ha Long city.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai participated in the event.

Around 20,000 trees were planted in two hectares of land. The trees will be taken care

by Ha Long city’s youth and Ha Phong ward’s people.

Border guards of Quang Ninh province joined the program.

Quang Ninh has vast coastal warp areas, which is seen as the green lung of Ha Long city.
