He said this should be an important mission of the culture, sport and tourism sector in 2019.
The deputy PM spoke at a regular meeting between the Government and leaders from culture, sports and tourism sector.
“State officials should join the process first to establish standard criteria on behaving at tourism sites, religious sites, behaving towards impaired people, elderly people, at offices, and especially the behaving culture of Vietnamese people when travelling or working abroad,” he said.
He stressed that the Ministry of Home Affairs should set up standard rules at work for State staff.
He asked the culture and arts field to ease policies in training and complete training models.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) should work with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to co-ordinate with enterprises in career training and set up a national set of criteria for job skills in tourism, he said.
At the same meeting, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Trinh Thi Thuy reported that the Deputy Prime Minister’s orders have been carried out since the beginning of the year.
According to Thuy, the Viet Nam Culture and Arts Institute has set up a plan to praise people who behave well in public and those who speak out against problems involving people’s morality and beliefs, like improper religious practices.
The culture ministry has solved some problems in training in art and culture. Notably, the ministry has ordered the recruitment of 300 students to be trained in 11 rare culture and art fields, subjects which almost no students have registered for in the past few years.
Deputy Minister of MoLISA Le Quan said tourism schools in the country have improved their training methods and linked training with practising at enterprises.
The ministry is working to complete regulations on online tourism training to facilitate tourism and hotel workers.
The culture ministry has also ordered the Viet Nam Football Federation to ensure fair play and transparent football and build new modern stadiums to attract football fans.
