The online meeting between the government and 63 provinces and cities on administrative reform, chair by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, focused on the implementation of the one-stop policy at the district-level People's Committees.

All ministries sent a deputy minister to the meeting but the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Planning and Investment were represented by a department head. Meanwhile, these ministries are related to the important procedures associated with land and business registration, which have been complained a lot by people.

"There are many ministries that have joined provinces to implement the one-door policy, but there are many others standing on the sidelines," Phuc indicated.

He praised a number of provinces for well carrying out this policy, including: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Bac Giang, Lao Cai and Can Tho. These localities, he said, have improved the quality of services and transparency to facilitate people and businesses reduce costs, save time...

However, Phuc said that people still complain about administrative procedures related to land, construction, taxes, health care... Therefore, the relevant ministries, sectors and localities have to closely monitor the implementation of the one-door in these areas.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with relevant ministries, to develop a plan to expand the one-door policy at the district-level People's Committees in the period 2012-2015.

Accordingly, 400 bureaus applying the one-door model will be established throughout the nation.
