VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese Tran Thanh Dien won the first stage of the Tour de Siak in Indonesia on Wednesday, Oct 19.

Dien completed the 154.18km stage from Siak to Simpang Dayun with a time of 3hr 25.02min to temporarily take the yellow jersey for the leader.
Hsu Hsuang-Ping (CT) came second and Muh Imam Arifin (KFC) was third.
In the second stage from Siak to Perawang, 75 riders will race along 182,12km, the longest route of the event.
The fourth international cycling competition has attracted participants from seven countries, comprising five foreign teams and eight local ones. Two Malaysian teams have withdrawn ahead of the competition.
Viet Nam have five representatives in Siak.
Tour de Siak has been included in the calendar of the Union Cycling International annual events. Participants will showcase their skills by conquering tracks in four stages.
Cyclists will race on winding roads, face an uphill battle and ride through natural landscapes, which include oil palm plantations.
