The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has proposed the Director of Kong: Skull Island, Mr. Jordan Vogt-Roberts as Vietnam Tourism Ambassador to the UK and US.

Nguyen Thai Binh, Chief of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism office said the Ministry has received the VNAT proposal and will set up a council on March 9 to decide and give feedback to the VNAT at the earliest time.
After appointment, the Tourism Ambassador will be responsible for disseminating information on Vietnam tourism through newspapers, art, photography, and other forms of media.
Earlier, Bobby Chinn, a chef from New Zealand was appointed Vietnam Ambassador to Europe by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in a three-year term.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts is an American film producer, television director and screenwriter. He is well-known for such films as Single Dads (2009), The Kings of Summer (2013), and Kong: Skull Island (2017).
In February 2016, a Hollywood film crew and himself arrived in Vietnam to shoot scenes for Kong: Skull Island.
Late last year, he returned to the central Quang Binh province to conquer the world’s largest cave Son Doong.
