Some 100,000 low-cost air tickets and more than 18,000 discounted tours will be made available at the Vietnam International Travel Mart 2019 (VITM Hanoi 2019), which will take place from March 27 to 30 in Hanoi City.

Customers look at tour programs at a tourism fair in HCMC 

According to the organizer, this year’s event will feature 500 booths of 700 firms and organizations operating in the travel, hotel, aviation, restaurant and tourism promotion sectors.

The participating exhibitors will showcase a wide range of products and services at their booths covering 180 square meters each.

The Vietnam Tourism Association, the organizer of VITM 2019, expects the participating firms to earn VND350 billion in revenue from the event, an increase of VND30 billion against the figure seen at last year’s event.

With the theme “Green Tourism”, the organizing board has called on firms to introduce products of green tourism and ecological tourism, and has encouraged these firms to use environmentally friendly materials to design their booths.

VITM 2019 will give the firms a chance to exchange information and discuss various issues related to green tourism and its importance to the Vietnamese tourism sector in the future.

Besides this, there will be lots of activities and seminars on the sidelines of the event, including a forum on Outbound Tourism and a Vietnamese Tourism Seminar, according to the organizer.

VITM is an annual event to be organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association in Hanoi City. In addition, the association will partner with the Cantho Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant units to host VITM Cantho 2019.
